Report of the Water Commissioners
Of The North Raynham Water District
May 26,2005

To the Citizens of the North Raynham Water District

The Commissioners of the North Raynham Water District respectfully submit the following report of the operation and financial statement.

Fifty- Four (54) new services were installed giving the District a total of 1279 active services.

This year the District pumped a total of 125,191,000 gallons of water, an increase 6,798,000 gallon from the 118,393.00 gallons pumped last year.

The Treasurers report shows the District to be in sound financial condition. This was confirmed by the independent Auditors Report Parent, McLaughlin and Nangle for the F/Y 2004.

The Districts Money Market Accounts, Certificates of Deposits and Capital Savings Accounts have yielded a total of $5,085.46 in interest in F/Y 05 as of 12/31/04.

The District collected $138,960.00 in System Development Fees from 7/1/04 thru 12/31/04. This account generated $4,755.66 in interest.

The Demand Fees for new water installations generated $57,685.00 in revenue for the F/Y 05 as of 12/31/04.

District Annual Water Quality Reports
The annual water quality reports will be mailed to each resident by the required DEP July 1st deadline.

Meter Replacement
The District is continuing its program of replacing or repairing aged, non-recording and defective meters. This has increased the accuracy of water readings, which in turn generates more revenue for the district and has helped to reduce the Districts unaccounted for water.

Water Exploration

New Bedrock Wellsite
The District continues its exploration for potential well sites. A preliminary pump test was conducted on a new bedrock site located on the Districts property behind King Philip III Wellsite at 1 Arrowhead Lane. The potential site has been surveyed. The district will be proceeding in negotiations for land acquisition.

New Wellsite at 58 Broadway
Land Purchase The district has entered into an agreement for the purchase of the land located at 58 Broadway, Raynham. This wellsite when developed must include a filtration plant for manganese removal per DEP.

Filtration Plant
An Informational Meeting will be held in the near future.

Cleaning and Repairs
The King Philip III Wellsites were cleaned in October due to severely high iron levels.

The King Philip II Wellsite was inspected and repairs were made to the pump.

The Wilbur St. standpipe was inspected and cleaned. There was two to three inches of sediment removed from the base of the standpipe.

The King Philip III pump station was struck by lightening again in July 2004. The station had to be run manually over the long holiday weekend. The previously installed surge protection prevented major damage to critical components. Additional protection was added to cover the components damage during this lightening strike.

MTBE Class Action Law Suit
Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether
The District has joined a class action lawsuit regarding contaminations due to MTBE in the Districts Drinking Water Supply.

Wilbur St. Storage Facility Progress The station went on line April 14,2005 after solving several communication problems.

Employee Union
The District employees have joined the public employees union Local 1144 on July 1, 2004 for a (3) three year contract.

In closing, the Commissioners want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making this District a success.

Respectfully Submitted,
