Report of the Water Commissioners
Of The North Raynham Water District

To the Citizens of the North Raynham Water District
The Commissioners of the North Raynham Water District respectfully submit the following report of the operation and financial statement.
Twenty-Six (26) new services were installed giving the District a total of 1366 active services.
This year the District pumped a total of 124,366,000 gallons of water, a decrease of 521,100 gallons from the 124,887,000 gallons pumped last year.
The Treasurers report shows the District to be in sound financial condition. This was confirmed by the independent Auditors Report Parent, McLaughlin and Nangle for the F/Y 2006.
The System Development and the Districts Money Market Accounts, Certificates of Deposits and Capital Savings Accounts have yielded a total of $65,372.00 in interest in F/Y 2006 as of 06/30/2006.
The Demand Fees for new water installations generate $32,265.00 in revenue for the F/Y 2006 as of 06/30/06.
The System Development fees for new water installation generated $206,962.00 in revenue for F/Y 2006 as of 06/30/06.
EOEA Grant Award
The District purchased property for a well site located at 54 Broadway for $435,000.00 in which a grant from the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs for the EOEA Drinking Water Supply Protection Grant Program was received for $201,452.00.
State Revolving Fund Award
The Bureau of Resource Protection State Revolving Fund Loan Program was awarded to the District in the amount up to $7,942,000.00 for a 2% loan for a Water Treatment Plant and Well Construction. A special meeting was held on April 26, 2007 and $3,800,000.00 was approved by the voters for the construction of a new well and filtration plant.
District Annual Water Quality Reports
The annual water quality reports will be mailed to each resident by the required DEP July 1st deadline.
Meter Replacement
The District has replaced seventy (70) meters between July 2006 February 2007. This has increased the accuracy of the water readings, which in turn generates more revenue for the district and helps to reduce the districts unaccounted for water. The 2006 unaccounted for water was 4.30% of the total 124,366,000 gallons pumped and this is down from
MTBE Class Action Law Suit -Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether
The District is still involved in the class action law suit regarding contaminations due to MTBE in the District Water Supply. There is no new information at this time.

The district is pleased to announce that we now have a website for the North Raynham Water District www.nrwd.org. Information regarding rates, water conservation and other important town links can be found. The district has online payments available just click on : OnLine Payment on our website.
