Report of the Water Commissioners
Of The North Raynham Water District
May 22, 2008

To the Citizens of the North Raynham Water District

The Commissioners of the North Raynham Water District respectfully submit the following report of the operation and financial statement.

Ten new services were installed giving the District a total of 1,376 active services.

This year the District pumped a total of 133,840,000 gallons of water, an increase of 9,474,000 gallons from the 124,366,000 gallons pumped last year.

The Treasurers report shows the District to be in sound financial condition. This was confirmed by the independent Auditors Report Parent, McLaughlin and Nangle for the F/Y 2007.

The System Development and the Districts Money Market Accounts, Certificates of Deposits and Capital Savings Accounts have yielded a total of $85,221.00 in interest in F/Y 2007 as of 06/30/2007.

The Demand Fees for new water installations generate $31,475.00 in revenue for the F/Y 2007 as of 06/30/07.

The System Development fees for new water installation generated $122,000.00 in revenue for F/Y 2007 as of 06/30/07.

King Philip Water Treatment Plant
A special meeting was held on April 26, 2007 and $3,800,000.00 was approved by the voters for the construction of a new well and filtration plant. An increase of $550,000.00 was requested by the board at a special meeting held on April 14, 2008 and was approved by the voters bring the total of the project to $4,350,000. The reason for this increase was that the bids came in higher than expected due to the volatility of the construction costs, particularly to the rising cost of steel. Construction of the filtration plant is anticipated to begin during the spring of 2008. The new filtration plant and well could be on-line by the middle of the summer of 2009. This filtration plant will resolve the increasing levels of iron and manganese and the new well will help with the increasing demand for water. The district will be posting updated photos on its web site during the construction process of the filtration plant.

District Annual Water Quality Reports
The annual water quality reports will be mailed to each resident by the required DEP July 1st deadline.

Meter Replacement
The District has replaced 23 meters between, July 2007 and February 2008. This increases the accuracy of the water readings, which in turn generates more revenue for the district and helps to reduce the districts unaccounted for water. The 2007 unaccounted for water was 8.73% of the total 133,840,000 gallons pumped.

Website
The district is pleased to announce that we now have a website for the North Raynham Water District www.nrwd.org. Information regarding rates, water conservation and other important town links can be found. The district has online payments available just click on : On Line Payment on our website.

In closing, the Commissioners want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making this District a success.

Respectfully Submitted,
